Since its debut, ‘Squid Game' has taken the world by storm, becoming the most popular show on the California-based streaming platform.
The documents obtained by Bloomberg also reveal the criteria Netflix employs to rank shows and crown the one with the greatest potential for success. These figures are, however, very confidential, and the corporation prefers not to share them with the press. While many indicators are kept under wraps, Netflix has given some information.
According to data given by the streaming company, 132 million individuals had viewed at least two minutes of the show in its first three weeks, exceeding the previous high of 'Bridgerton,' an American show. Another piece of information shows that viewers have watched the show for a total of 1.4 billion hours. From the beginning to the end of season 1, 87 million viewers watched the show.
Another fascinating information revealed by the archives is that the show's production cost only $21.4 million (about Rs.160 crores). This raises the show's total effect cost to a staggering $891.1 million. The streaming platform uses a statistic called impact cost.
