In a letter written to the public, Kim said, 'I will work hard to bring the country into the same new era, in which the ideals and wishes of our people will be fulfilled. I thank people for trusting and supporting our party even in difficult times. '

  He further wrote in the letter, 'I sincerely wish the countrymen happiness and good health'. It is worth mentioning that Kim Jong Un took over power from his father in 2011.
